The students of our great school depend on the community's support to build on our foundation. With public education facing increasing challenges, the need for public and private sectors of our community to enhance the educational opportunities in our public school is greater than ever. Hettinger Education Foundation works closely with but independently from the Hettinger School District. The goal of this partnership is to allow members of our community to invest in the success of any and all of the classrooms, programs, and activities of Hettinger Public School.

Who We Are

The Hettinger Education Foundation was charted in1993 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax exempt organization. The Foundation is governed by an eleven member board of directors and is a separate legal entity from the Hettinger School District. When Hettinger Public School was faced with significant financial difficulties, the Hettinger Education Foundation was founded to supplement funding for programs lost due to budget cuts and to seek to make our public school the best it could be by providing educational opportunities for students and staff.

What is the Hettinger Education Foundation for Public Education?

The Hettinger Education Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to academic enrichment of the Hettinger Public School. The Hettinger Education Foundation provides funding to support valuable educational experiences and innovative projects for Hettinger Public School. Funds raised augment school system revenues that are provided by taxes, state aid, and other parent and student led fundraising efforts.
